After a deep Analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of workers in the construction sector, a remarkable lack of impersonal skills and communication have been detected. For instance, team work skills or a leadership development are missing since they are essential nowadays in the labour market and in the competitive business.

Currently, a myriad of online training activities are found on the Internet which can be done when someone may have been selected for a training experience of this type. However, few are as participative, interactive or immersed as the ones based on the online training scenarios.

Scenario-based Trainings

By its intrinsic dynamic, this alternative training based in scenarios, encourage students to interact and to be connected emotionally with the topic they learn. However, in order to consider this approach, the methodology needs to be identified and it is necessary to know how the program requests to be set out and the way of deploying videos, stories and multimedia components to provide the best online learning experience to trainees, genuinely useful, unforgettable and powerful.

Soft Skills for Hard Hats (SSHH) Project will, precisely consider this exemplar through the final course which is going to be developed throughout this initiative. For that purpose, online training scenarios will be created, every of which would be focused on one real situation that, in a most likely situation, any construction worker may find in a project or in different work place.

There will be four the scenario groups which will pose, relating with four social and different management skills: communication, leadership, problem resolution and team work.
